I am 81 years young, and I am in a "Happy Place" and right where I want to be at this stage of my life. All this, despite my saying, 30 or 40 years ago, "I'll never go in a Retirement Home, that's for old people who have nothing better to do". I realized that if I did not look after my needs, I would develop very serious health problems. That's when I heard of the "Red Oak Villa". It is simply gorgeous in décor and ambiance. The staff is extremely helpful and polite. Numerous activities, such as "Art on the Go", a Drama Club, outings to live theatre, casino's and shopping. Oh! Did I mention, "Pub Night", once a week and you can dance the evening away! The kitchen staff do all they can to provide us with healthy and nutritious meals, and assist those with special dietary concerns.

If someone asks me, "Are you happy there? I respond, "You bet your Sweet Bippy I am". I'm not going anywhere, because I am truly 'Home'.

Imagine at 81 years old, getting dressed for Halloween, for "50" days, for Western days, just to mention a few. The evening and daytime entertainment are popular, it's time to listen and dance to the good music of our times and enjoy a "drink".

I am happy; good meals prepared, room cleaned and I am privileged to benefit from the services of a hairdresser and aesthetician on site.

I cannot ask for anything else. I am in a friendly and secure environment; my family is not worried about me. Red Oak is my second big family.
